Last Game of the Season. September 28th 2014

The Redsox played the Yankees on the last game of the season. It was also the last game for Yankees star shortstop Derek Jeter of his career. Boston ended up losing the game 9-5 as the loss went to Clay Buchholtz which made him 8-11 on the season

Boston Redsox vs. Tampa Bay Rays 9/24/14

The Redsox beat the Rays 11-3 in the second game of the 3 game series. For the first time since 1971, 7 rookies started for Boston in this game. The series is now tied at 1-1 with 1 more game remaining. Anthony Ranaudo pitched 7 innings allowing 2 runs on 6 hits. Shortstop Xander Bogaerts and Daniel Nava combined to have 5 of Boston’s RBI’s while rookie Garin Cecchini hit his first home run of his career. Allen Webster is to pitch for Boston in game 3 of the series who is 4-3 with a 5.54 ERA. For Tampa Bay, Jeremy Hellickson is pitching. He is 1-4 with a 3.96 ERA on the season.

Friday, September 19th 2014: Boston Redsox at Baltimore Orioles
